Hungary Homes Sales Fall In December

There were 5,768 homes sold in Hungary in December, down 5% from the same month a year earlier, real estate broker Duna House said. Full-year home sales came to 83,600, down 11% from 2012.
However, home sales in the first months of 2012 were much higher than usual because of a government scheme that allowed early repayment of foreign currency- denominated mortgages at discounted exchange rates.
The number of homes sold in 2013 was the lowest since 2008.
