Inflation At Lowest Level In Hungary Since 1970
Inflation was up 0.4% year-on-year in December, the lowest level since March 1970, the Central Statistics Office announced on Wednesday, beating expectations.

November’s second round of utility price cuts drove prices downwards, as their effects first appeared in the December bills.

Average inflation for 2013 came in at 1.7%. Core inflation – which excludes energy prices – was 3.5% both in December and for 2013 on average.
