Budapest Properties Still Cheap By EU Standards
Apartments are cheaper in Budapest than in any other EU capital, property agency Otthon Centrum reports. The cost of an average 60m2 flat in Budapest is €74,280, followed by €81,000 in Bucharest. A similar home costs €123,220 in Bratislava.

The most expensive properties are in Paris, with a price of €699,105 in the outer regions.

However, when home prices are compared to average wages Berlin comes off best, as it takes 3.5 years of work to afford an apartment there, compared to 4.2 years in Dublin, 6.4 years in Budapest and 17.5 years in Bucharest.
