Hungary’s X-Ventures Invests In Biotech Company
X-Ventures, a venture capital fund manager, has invested more than 45 million forints in eMMUNITY, a company established by Hungarian, American and Italian researchers and entrepreneurs to develop cancer treatments.

X-Ventures said it had acquired a 26% stake in eMMUNITY with the investment. Elemér Piros, eMMUNITY managing director, said the company’s technology facilitates the creation of an anti-cancer vaccine tailored to an individual patient’s immune system.

X-Ventures has made eleven investments totalling almost 3 billion forints since it was established in 2010 with the support of the European Union’s Jeremie initiative, under which EU structural funds can be used to finance SMEs.
