Harmonia Jazz Workshop, Budapest Jazz Club, 14 March
Calling all English speaking jazz lovers in Budapest to The Harmonia Jazz Workshop at the Budapest Jazz Club with a kick-off at 20.00 on Friday, 14th March 2014 proudly presents the Kornél Fekete Kovács Sextet.

The trumpeter is Kornél Fekete Kovács, one time leader of the Budapest Jazz Orchestra and presently heading the Modern Art Orchestra, one of the best on his instrument in this country. All the international star soloists who have ever played with his bands, like Dave Liebman, Peter Erskine, Johnny Griffin or Wallace Roney hold him in high regard.

He is a terrific team-builder – as you’ll, no doubt, notice – and a great supporter of outstanding new talent. This time he presents youngsters of stellar quality like the virtuoso trombonist, Attila Korb, pianist Áron Tálas, bass-player Márton Soós, drummer László Csízi and vocalist Flóra Kiss.

Entry fee: 1400 forints

The BJC is in the 13th district at Hollán Ernő utca 7
There is no compulsion to eat or drink but there is a well stocked bar with also cocktails made to order at non-extortionate prices. For food you’ll have to resort to a staple diet of sandwiches, crisps and nuts.
