Retail sectors topping online sales generate HUF133bn in 2013 Hungary’s most successful six retail sectors generated revenues over 133 billion forints (EUR 426m) in 2013, accounting for 67% of last year’s overall internet sales, according to a survey by GKI Digital and arukereso.hu.
Consumer electronics accounted for about a half of the six retail sectors’ combined sales, games and cultural products for about 20%, clothing and sporting goods for 12%. There are between 2,000-2,500 active online retailers in Hungary.
