China -CEE Regional Tourism Centre Established At Budapest Meeting
A China-Central and Eastern Europe Regional Tourism Centre was established at a tourism summit in Budapest on Thursday. The centre will be based in Budapest, Péter Szijjártó, state secretary for external economic relations, told the first tourism summit of China and CEE countries.

The centre will give Hungary a leading role in enhancing cooperation between China and countries in the CEE region, he said.

Shao Qiwei, the chairman of China National Tourism Administration, noted that tourism was identified as a main area of long-term cooperation in a joint statement China and the leaders of 16 CEE countries issued on long-term cooperation at their meeting in November last year in Bucharest.
