Number Of Employed In Hungary At 15-Year High
The unemployment rate fell to 8.1% in the February-April period from 8.3% in January-March, the Central Statistics Office announced yesterday.

The rate is the lowest since late 2008, and is well below the 11% recorded in the same period of last year.

The number of employed was up 6.1% year-on-year to 4.1 million in February-April, the highest level in 15 years.

The employment rate among those aged 15-74 rose to 53.9% in the February-March period, from 53.6% in January-March and 50.7% in the corresponding period of 2013.
