HUF 1.8 BN Invested In Curd, Yoghurt Business By Sole-Mizo
Hungarian dairy company Sole- Mizo is investing 1.8 billion forints (EUR 5.7m) in its cottage cheese and yoghurt business. COO István Herczeg said the investment would reduce waste and boost output of cottage cheese from a weekly 50- 60 tonnes to 80-100 tonnes.

The company won 845 million forints (EUR 2.7m) in European Union and state money for the investment. Sales of Sole-Mizo exceeded 42 billion forints last year.

About a quarter was from exports, mainly to the Balkan states, Romania, the Arab states and Western Europe.

Sole-Mizo is a unit of Bonafarm, the agribusiness of Sándor Csányi, who also heads Hungary’s biggest commercial lender, OTP Bank.
