Adults In Hungary Smoking Less
Four billion fewer cigarettes sold in Hungary last year thanks to a 2012 ban on smoking in closed areas, and at bus and tram stations, Human Resources Ministry undersecretary Attila Beneda told reporters yesterday.

No government measure has ever had such wide support in society as the law on the protection of non-smokers, he added.

He said fewer adults are smoking since regulations were tightened, but no substantive change has been achieved among young people.
