Hungarian Exhibition Opens In Los Angeles Museum Of The Holocaust
Deputy Minister of State for Priority Social Affairs Csaba Latorcai attended the opening of an exhibition at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust, which gained support from the Hungarian Government.

The exhibition called “Our Forgotten Neighbours” commemorates Hungarian Jews deported from the Bonyhád area in South-western Hungary, who were killed in Auschwitz in 1944.

A total of USD 7.2 million has been earmarked for programmes and events related to the Holocaust Memorial Year. Furthermore, for holding our common cultural heritage in high regard, the Government will support the renovation of synagogues and Jewish cemeteries by some USD 18 million next year.

The Deputy State Secretary highlighted the importance of dialogue between the Government and Jewish organisations, the main forum of which is the Jewish Community Roundtable.

During the course of his visit to the U.S., as part of the Holocaust Memorial Year, Csaba Latorcai opened another exhibition in the Palm Springs Tolerance Education Centre as well.
