Opposition Demands Audit Of Civil Orgs Close To Govt
The opposition Dialogue for Hungary (PM) party demanded that the Government Control Office (Kehi) carry out an audit of civil organisations financed by the National Cooperation Fund.

PM co-leader Tímea Szabó said the ruling Fidesz party has “shamelessly supplied millions of forints to its own pseudo-civil organisations” that “use tax-payers’ money for Fidesz propaganda purposes”.

The National Cooperation Fund is headed by László Csizmadia, who is also in charge of the Civil Cooperation Forum (COF), the organiser of progovernment demonstrations.

According to Szabó, they do not carry out any activities that would be useful to society.

She cited civil organisations linked to the Gmóser family in Kiskőrös in southern Hungary, adding that András Gmóser was voted head of Fidesz youth arm Fidelitas in 2007 and became a Fidesz MP this year.
