Car Sales In Hungary Rise One-Fifth In December
Sales of new passenger vehicles in Hungary rose 21% to 6,093 in December from the same month a year earlier, according to Jato Dynamics. Skoda led sales of passenger cars in December, invoicing 785 models. Runner-up was Ford, selling 728 cars, and Opel was in third place with 637 sales.

Sales of light commercial vehicles climbed 32% to 1,986. Sales of heavy commercial vehicles fell by 29% to 588 in December, according to the Hungarian Association of Vehicle Importers (MGE), which cited figures compiled by Datahouse.

Sales of buses rose by 27% to 123 and sales of motorcycles were down 33% at 37, MGE said. This year, new passenger car sales are expected to rise by more than 15% to 75,000, it said. Sales of LCVs are set to increase 6% to 17,000 while sales of HCVs fall 7% to 4,500.
