Invitel Appoints David Blunck As New CEO In Hungary
By Christian Keszthelyi: David Blunck was appointed CEO of Hungarian telecommunications company Invitel yesterday, replacing David McGowan on the position, the company announced today.

Blunck (48) moved to Hungary on 2008 and was the deputy CEO of Finance in the firm since September 2012. He has citizenship in both the United States and Hungary and a native fluency in both English and Hungarian languages.

“It is a great honor for me to lead the team of Invitel in a period when we can continue realizing the successful strategy of our firm. […] Invitel was able to double its revenue in the past two years in the field of both IPTV and ICT services. We have serious objectives on these strategic markets: We keep modernizing our broadband network and our aim is to expand business ICT services in order to widen our services on offer for our customers” Blunck said on the occasion of his appointment.
