Hungarian Political Research Institute Nézõpont Has New Owner
Ágoston Sámuel Mráz, the founder and owner of the Nézõpont political research institute has sold the company to Tibor Gyõri, a former state secretary of the PMO, news website Index reports.

Mráz will keep his position as CEO, while Gyõri will be the chairman. Nézõpont is planning acquisitions to expand the group.

Gyõri was a confidant of Viktor Orbán but first entered Fidesz circles through Lajos Simicska, Index underlines. Gyõri was the CEO of Mahír, an advertising company owned by party financier Simicska, in 1995-2003, and was a neighbour of Simicska in the early 2000s.

A source speaking on condition of anonymity said Gyõri has left Simicska and took over Nézõpont to keep it in secure hands during a reshuffling of the market.

Nézõpont received about Ft 30 million a month in Development Ministry contracts over the past three years.
