Hungary Becomes Full Member Of European Space Agency
Hungary has become a full member of the European Space Agency (ESA) with the related document signed in a ceremony in Budapest. Jean - Jacques Dordain, ESA’s directorgeneral, highlighted the successful projects carried out in cooperation with Hungary over the past 20 years.

ESA’s partnership with Hungary as a full-fledged member can be elevated to a higher level allowing the creation of new jobs for Hungarians working in the space industry, he said.

Ákos Kara, the state secretary in charge of infocommunication, said that Hungarian companies would from now on have access to ESA’s tenders in industry, education and sciences.

Hungarian firms specialising in space industry will have the opportunity to develop dynamically and thus enhance the competitiveness of both their sector and the Hungarian economy as a whole.
