Survey Shows Hungarian Fears For Health Care
Nine out of ten Hungarians believe that health care should be a higher priority for the government, according to a survey by market researcher Szinapszis.

Both doctors and patients described the operation and performance of the health care system as bad.

The 300 doctors and 500 patients interviewed online said the state of health care, including the shortage of specialists, is worrisome.

Nearly two-thirds of patients believe that their treatment was adequate, but doctors say they cannot ensure proper health care services nor sufficient time for their patients.

Tamás Dénes, head of the Hungarian Residents Alliance, said if no substantive measures are approved by the government to halt doctor’s emigration, he will resign his post.
