Publimont Rejects Gay Ad Campaign In Hungary
Publimont, a billboard and vehicle advertisement company controlled by Lajos Simicska and Zsolt Nyerges, has rejected a campaign commissioned by gay dating website Melegrandi, news website Origo reports. The ad campaign would be the first in Hungary directly targeting the gay community, Melegrandi head Péter Weiler told Origo.

Plans called for the name of the site to appear on a rainbow in ads carried on the sides of the No. 7 bus.

In its rejection, Publimont argued that the advertisement would be harmful to the mental, emotional and moral development of young people, which is banned under the advertising law.

Budapest transport company BKV said it was not aware of the planned campaign nor of its rejection by Publimont.
