Mensa International Elects 2nd Hungarian To Serve In Senior Post
Mensa International has elected another Hungarian expert to a top position at the largest and oldest society of people with a high IQ, the organisation’s Hungarian chapter said. Kristóf Kovács will work as supervisory psychologist from July 1 next to another Hungarian, Bibiána Balányi, who was elected Mensa International’s president over the weekend, said Mensa HungarIQa.

Balányi will be the youngest leader and the third female top official of Mensa International, according to a television programme introducing the Hungarian elected official.

Mensa’s leaders are usually from the US or Britain, as these are the two national groups with the largest memberships,” Balányi told the programme.

Mensa is open to anyone who scores higher than 98% of people in a standardised intelligence test, she said, adding that the test is approved by the supervisory psychologist. Founded in 1946, Mensa today has 120,000 members in 100 countries.
