Hungarian Private Health Care On The Rise
More and more businessmen see solid demand for domestic private health care and are convinced of its market potential, business daily Világgazdaság said. Some are focusing on Hungarians living abroad while others trust that health-care reforms at home will lead to a build-up of capacity, the paper said. The bigger service providers calculate with constantly rising annual growth of 15%-20% in patient turnover.

Whereas there is no official data to go by, estimates suggest that spending on private health-care services comes to about 30-50 billion forints (EUR 96m-160m) per annum.

Market players told the paper that the number of private hospitals, clinics and other services are expected to expand and prices will simultaneously come down.
