Internet Vital For Many Hungarian Holidaymakers
Fifteen percent of Hungarians find the internet vital for planning their summer holidays, and 8% say they cannot do without internet access during that time, business daily Világgazdaság said, citing a recent survey by PayPal and GfK. Just over 40% of Hungarian holidayers surfed the net for offers and 63 % gathered information about the selected site using search engines.

Only 15% turned to a travel agency for information about a destination and even fewer (12%) said they had asked it either personally or by phone to select one.

The main factor influencing the choice of accommodation is still the price (62%), followed by online rating or the experience of friends (33%) and internet access (19%), the survey showed.
