Liszt Memorial Evening, Festival Theatre Budapest, 21 September
The Liszt Memorial Evening programme presented by the Hungarian National Ballet Foundation features a set of pieces choreographed by Lilla Pártay. The evening's musical guests will likewise perform works by Liszt: while Atilla B. Kiss sings the Petrarch Sonnets, Izabella Simon will play The Bells of Geneva.

The four choreographed works were produced in different periods: Forgotten Waltz in 1986, From the Cradle to the Grave in 1998, and Csárdás macabre especially for this evening, while Funérailles - though originally dating from 1990 - has been reworked by the choreographer this year.

The performance carries two mottos: "Graceful movements are like music for the eyes” (Anatole France); and "There is no ‘must' in art because art is free” (Wassily Kandinsky).
