Hungarian Survives Bombing Of Afghan Hospital
A Hungarian nurse has spoken out about the horrors of a US-led bombing of a hospital in the Afghan town of Kunduz on Saturday. Afghan authorities said Taliban rebels had been hiding in the building after taking over the city last week and that is why the hospital had become a target for the bombing. The bombing killed 22 people, 10 of them patients and 12 from the hospital staff.

Hungarian nurse Lajos Zoltán Jecs said “we have no words to describe how horrible this was.”

He said six people were burnt to death in their beds in the intensive care ward, and a patient undergoing surgery died.

Jecs saw many of his colleagues killed, and said many who survived were too shocked by the horror to do anything.

US President Barack Obama expressed his condolences and ordered a full-scale investigation.
