Hungary-Austria Parlt Friendship Group Discusses Migration
Hungarian and Austrian lawmakers agree that Europe must take into account its fundamental values of democracy, respect of human rights and the rule of law in its handling of the refugee crisis, Fidesz MP Zsolt Csenger-Zalán said in Vienna after talks with his Austrian colleagues.

Csenger-Zalán, head of the Hungary-Austria Parliamentary Friendship Group, said that the joint European solution to the crisis must guarantee EU citizens’ rights to safety and a peaceful life, it must help those fleeing war and must also guarantee steps toward resolving those armed conflicts.

Hungary’s delegates to Vienna attended the joint session of the Austrian parliament’s foreign affairs committee and the Austria-Hungary Parliamentary Friendship Group, held talks in the foreign ministry and met Karlheinz Kopf, second president of the National Council of Austria.
