Hungary's PM’s Office Leader Lázár Unfazed By Habony Video
Prime ministerial press chief Bertalan Havasi and Prime Minister’s Office leader János Lázár separately declined to answer questions on the luxurious lifestyle of Árpád Habony, saying the prime ministerial advisor does not have an official position with the government.

The Socialist Party had asked how Habony “can afford the luxury which he rubs in our face day by day,” alluding to the appearance online of a promotional video in which Habony is seen among the clientele of an expensive nightclub in Ibiza.

When asked at his weekly press conference whether he had been to Ibiza, Lázár jokingly replied “Should I go?”

He said he had not seen the video but colleagues had relayed the details to him, particularly that “it is worth seeing because of the pretty ladies”.

He added that he still does not consider Habony worrisome from the point of view of national security and does not want to interfere in a private individual’s “free time habits”.

Pressed further, however, he observed that Habony may have “embarrassed himself” with his behaviour.
