Jazz Talent Exchange: D.A.S. Trio, Mupa Budapest, 23 January

Despite the fact that the average age of these three young musicians is only 16, their exceptional skill caught the attention of jazz insiders and fans right off the bat. During the two years of its existence, the D.A.S. Trio - named for its members, Adonisz (Donka) Fábry, Ábel Nagy and Samu Kéri - have already pocketed a number of awards from various festivals.
The band plays its own compositions, which they write together.
The tremendous harmony between them comes across from the very first moment, as their youthful energy grips the audience. Grooves that are technical to the point of cockiness and a virtuoso style combine with a surprisingly light touch that is impossible to ignore.
