Budapest, The “City Of Design”
The Hungarian capital city has been recently invited to join the Creative Cities Network by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The Creative Cities Network was founded by UNESCO in 2004 to collect the cities that belong to the world leaders with their creative economy. Being a member of this network the cities are given the opportunity to showcase their creative industries, participate in the exchange of experience and knowledge with the other member cities.

It is an exceptional honour for Budapest to be awarded the "City of Design" title, since there is no other Central European city on the list so far. The title was given to 47 cities over the world at the same time including Singapore, Shanghai or Barcelona, already well known for their innovative and stylish atmosphere. Being on the same list as them reflects the unstoppable progress of Budapest in becoming one of the leading destinations of the world.

According to Alexandra Szalay Bobrovniczky, the deputy mayor of the Hungarian capital "Budapest is one of the most exciting cities in the world. The city is the scene of mixing the innovation, the continuous development, diverse culture and dynamic economy."
