Hungary Has Not Yet Won Any Funding From Juncker Stimulus
Hungary has not won any funding for a single project from the 313 billion euros made available under the ‘Juncker package’, the opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) said.

So far decisions have been made concerning a third of the European Commission’s investment stimulus package named after the commission’s president Jean-Claude Juncker, and whereas Hungary has submitted bids for 50 energy and transport projects not a single one has been selected to receive funding, DK’s managing director Csaba Molnár said.

By contrast, Slovakia, Croatia and Poland have all won funding for projects which represent important investments, he said.

The MEP insisted that it had been made known in Brussels that reservations over funding for Hungary concerned worries that “the oligarchs of Viktor Orbán” would stand to benefit rather than ordinary people.
