Hungary Retail Sales Up 5.7 Pc In June
Retail sales in Hungary climbed by 5.7 percent in June from the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) confirmed in a second reading of data on Thursday. Retail sales rose at the same pace when adjusted for calendar year effects.

The pace slowed from an unadjusted 6.8 percent and was unchanged from a calendar-adjusted 5.7 percent rise in May.

Adjusted food sales were up by 3.4 percent in June, non-food sales climbed by 9.7 percent and fuel sales increased by 3.6 percent. In January-June retail sales rose by an unadjusted 5.3 percent and by an adjusted 5.2 percent year-on-year.

Adjusted food sales were up by 2.8 percent, while non-food sales climbed by 8.2 percent and fuel sales by 5.7 percent.
