Rising Demand For Electronic Products In Hungary
Sales of electronic products rose 10.6% year-on-year to Ft 135.5 billion in the second quarter, market researcher GfK Piackutató has announced.

Growth in consumer electronic products was 27.4%. Demand for flat screen televisions leaped 40% in the April-June period due to the European football tournament this summer.

The sale of big ticket items such as dishwashers, freezers and refrigirators rose an annualised 15% on average in the second quarter.

There was also a 14% increase in the sale of electric appliances.
