The series „La Belle Etoile” presents us the mental procedure of how the artist incorporates new places and thoughts to build a home from elements of the new environment. How is it possible to connect this totally new discoverable world with the well-known and friendly old one?

His starting point is the familiar body language of his wife, Sarah, a manifestation of hidden emotions and intimate gestures, and he connects these pictures with images of the world around him.

The series is a documentation of an inner path through emotional steps. The importance of these steps is not coming from the outside, but much more from the personal touch. Like a confession. Proceeding in this way involves not only the interiorization of the new environment, but a bowed head in front of the capacity and richness of human emotions.
