Christmas Eve Shopping May Be Cut
Fidesz is planning to submit a proposal to Parliament to compel shops to close at noon on December 24, rather than 2 p.m., Magyar Idõk writes. The modifications would have little effect on total retail turnover, said president György Vámos of retail association OKSZ.

The OKSZ predicts turnover in December to exceed last year’s level by Ft 50 billion.

The last month of the year accounts for 20% of the sector’s turnover.
