200+ Diagnosed HIV Positive In Hungary
Each year between 200 and 300 new cases of HIV are diagnosed in Hungary, an Aids charity head said on Thursday. The PLUSS foundation’s János Szlávik told a news conference on the occasion of World Aids Day that from year to year the number of new infections has stagnated. With today’s modern medicines it is possible to ensure symptom relief.

Since the HIV virus does not turn into full-blown Aids, the number of people who require care is constantly growing, Szlávik, who is a consultant on the infectology department of Budapest’s St László and St István Hospital, said.
