On until 31 December. Visitors can enjoy winter fun on a whole new level at the Müpa Winter Open Air opening on 4 December, where the Müpa Melody Wheel, a real ice rink as well as quality programmes in the Tent set up next to the skating rink await visitors.

The Müpa Tent will host children's programmes, pop music concerts as well as spectacular contemporary circus productions, and visitors will also have the chance to indulge in authentic winter pleasures: drink mulled wine or even skate around to music on Müpa Radio.

The use of the Ice rink is free of charge with tickets valid for Müpa Budapest performances. The numerous children's programmes at the Müpa Winter Open Air provide wholesome fun for all members of the family.

From 4–23 December, the highly successful Müpa Melody Wheel will again be available to try in the Foyer. The repertoire of the interactive music box now also features new melodies.

Müpa Budapest visitors can enjoy these winter experiences until 6 January.

Christmas tree - 4 December 2016 – 31 December 2016

Müpa Budapest will be erecting a special ‘design’ Christmas tree in the Müpa Winter Open Air.

The nearly 4-storey high installation (with a ground-space of 20 m² and a diameter of 5 m) will represent a unique spectacle in the vicinity of the Müpa Tent and the ice rink. In-between the numerous family and children’s programmes, visitors will surely have time to admire Müpa Budapest’s spectacularly unique Christmas tree, which will be lit up with a 110 m long light-band. The structure is made up of 167 boxes and 45 lightboxes and can be entered from three directions, and designers also had children in mind when creating a lower entrance as well.

Müpa Tent - 4 December 2016 – 31 December 2016

Müpa Winter Open Air winter experiences are accompanied by spectacular productions put on in the Tent set up next to the ice rink. The Tent awaits visitors with special circus attractions, popular music and numerous children's programmes. Guest performers will include Belgian comedy duo Okidok, presenting their productions Slips Inside (featuring acrobatic show elements) and Ha Ha Ha (with traditional clown jokes).

In addition, audiences will also be treated to the performances by well-known and hugely popular contemporary circus troupe Recirquel, presenting their shows Paris du Nuit and Tricks. Children’s performers will include Kaláka, Kolompos Együttes, András Hajós and the Modern Art Orchestra, and the Hot Jazz Band.
