Remote Court Hearings From 2018
Authorities will institute long-distance court hearings with the help of video technology by 2018, head of the Budapest Court Sándor Fazekas announced on Friday.

The communication by video conference means that citizens will not have to travel far in order to testify in courts, he added.

There will be 72 so-called end points of this system, Fazekas said.

According to plans, the minutes of hearings will be replaced by video recordings.

At present, courts have a mobile device for video conferences. There were 17 long-distance hearings in 2012 and 208 in 2015.
