3 Scottish Burns Suppers In Budapest 2017
There are not many Scots who can claim as much international recognition as Robert Burns. It's that time of the year when people around the world come together to toast the memory of Scotland’s most celebrated poet: Robert Burns was born on the 25th of January 1759, and he is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and his birthday is celebrated worldwide.

Burns is commemorated in even the most far flung places, with celebrations set to take place from Tanzania to Delhi, St Petersburg to Dhaka. Robert Burns is also extremely popular in China – where Scottish societies from both Beijing and Shanghai host celebrations every year.

Here in Budapest there are now 3 Burns Supper events, attracting almost 300 revellers.

1. Saturday 21 January at The Corinthia Hotel

2. Tuesday 24 January at The Scottish Mission

3. Wednesday 25 January at The Caledonia Scottish Pub

With the first two events above already sold out, you still have a chance to enjoy the celebrations on the official date of 25 January at The Caledonia:

A 3-course dinner of Salmon & Potato Fishcakes, Haggis, Neeps & Tatties and Apple Crumble with Irn Bru ice cream will help soak up the 3 glasses of whisky and bottle of Robert Burns Ale. All this - plus live music from The Sweaty Socks - for a total cost of 7500 Ft per person.
