Spanish - Hungarian Cooperation In EU Tenders
The Hungarian Development Centre (MFK) and the Spanish project development company Inspiralia concluded a representative partnership agreement to cooperate in European Union tenders. The agreement signed in Madrid covers seven countries in central and eastern Europe, managing director of the centre and ministerial commissioner Antal Kiss told MTI.

“Eastern Europe and central Europe are grey spots for Spain and we would like to change this by getting the knowledge and capabilities of the region, of the Carpathian Basin, to be jointly represented and promoted to successful Spanish project developers,” he said.

Spain has been very successful in winning EU tenders and Inspiralia has played an important role in this, Kiss said.

The Spanish company contacted MFK and proposed cooperation last year. As a result, tenders totalling 4 billion forints (EUR 12.9m) have been submitted with Hungarian participation in the past six months, he added.

He cited as examples the ELTE psychology institute’s participation in an international project to assess cultural diversity and the Hungarian Academy of Science’s Wigner Research Centre for Physics joining the University of Birmingham’s Raman spectroscopy project.
