Good Friday Becomes Public Holiday In Hungary
Parliament yesterday declared Good Friday a holiday, starting this year, when the religious commemoration falls on April 14. As Easter Monday is already a national holiday, Easter weekends will be four days long in Hungary.

Apart from the labour code, Parliament specified in four other legal regulations the new rest day with which Hungary has now 11 holidays which may fall on weekdays.

These are January 1, March 15, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May 1, Pentecost Monday, August 20, October 23, November 1, December 25 and 26.
