Igazi Csíki Sör Changes Brand Name
As part of the agreement with global brewery Heineken, Romania’s Lixid Project brewery is changing its brand name from Igazi Csíki Sör (original Ciuc county beer) to Csíki Sör (Ciuc county beer), head of the company András Lénárd confirmed.

He told Hungarian-language news website Maszol that the term “Igazi” in the disputed brand name – implying that the Heineken product was not original – was a problem for the Dutch beer maker, and a gentlemen’s agreement was reached.

As it takes about two months to put the new brand name on all products, the temporary brand Tiltott (“banned”) is still available.
