Onyx Restaurant Celebrates 10th Birthday
Michelin-starred, Gault Millau, and Dining Guide awarded Onyx is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Since opening its doors in March 2007, Onyx has recieved a good number of awards, but their biggest honour is their always smiling clientele, said Executive Director Katalin Pintér.

”The aim was to create a first-class restaurant, serving high-quality food with excellent customer service in a sophisticated and elegant milieu,” Pintér said.

The cooking style is a modern take on Hungarian cuisine, featuring international elements and techniques that result in an exceptional fine-dining experience.

The concept seemed to be popular right from the start, first with customers, then in 2011, the métier also acknowledged the restaurant’s hard work by awarding it a Michelin star.

”Sticking to the highest quality in all aspects is a must,” adds Pintér, who emphasized the importance of regular workshops and the strong team-spirit needed to achieve the best results.

Some of Onyx’s future plans include using even more ingredients from local producers, such as their own chicken-farm in Vas county.
