Garage Band Festival, Mupa, 26 May
Following up on last year's huge success, Müpa Budapest is once again hosting an unusual talent search aimed at providing both an opportunity and space for emerging young bands. A professional jury composed of musicians who are appearing at Müpa Budapest this year will select five winners from the competing bands, who will get the chance to play a stand-alone concert at the Garage Band Festival on 26 May.

The space of the underground parking garage will once again be given over to a night of music, since Müpa Budapest is following up on the success of the unusual talent search it held last year with yet another one aimed at opening the way for up and coming bands.

The jury composed of Bíborka Bocskor, Vera Jónás, Hrutka Róbert, Little G Weevil and Jamie Winchester - all artists appearing at Müpa Budapest this year - have selected five young bands from a field of 50. Each group will get 40 minutes to put on its own standalone concert, where they can display their talent live on the stage.

The groups receiving the most votes at the venue have additional valuable special prizes in store for them: an entire day - with a photography session included - in Müpa Budapest's professional sound studio, a chance to appear at an exclusive event organised by the Ludwig Museum, as well as a chance to be interviewed on the Ludwig Museum's blog.
