Head Of Momentum Movement “Breaks Into” Origo Editorial Office
The head of the Momentum Movement escorted by others entered the editorial office of Origo on Thursday and took photographs without a permit.

Momentum head András Fekete-Gyõr said he did not need a permit because it is “a matter of public interest”. He accused Origo of spreading propaganda using public funds and insisted on an answer.

The Civil Liberties Union (TASZ) said in a statement on the same day that Momentum should not have entered the headquarters without permission as it is private area.

The activists approached journalist András Kovács. He did not give his consent for video recordings or photos to be taken of him, but this did not stop the activists.

Origo had written that several members of the Momentum Movement had pocketed more than Ft 16 million to protect of students’ interests and this must have been embarrassing for the party. The website also reported that the Momentum Movement is linked to György Soros.

Momentum press officer Gergõ Papp who was in the company of Fekete-Gyõr said they did not “break in” but walked into the editorial office. They had an unpleasant conversation with András Kovács who had written a story discrediting Momentum. Finally deputy managing director Lóránt Tókos arrived and Papp said they had an “expressly congenial conversation”.
