BKV Withdraws M3 Metro Carriages
Budapest public transport company BKV is withdrawing the recently upgraded Russian metro carriages from service on the M3 line, due to a series of problems. One carriage was withdrawn for undisclosed reasons, while another was taken out of service after its doors opened on both sides after stopping at a station.

Index writes that nine renovated carriages have been shipped from Russia from among the 37 sent there.

Of those, six have passed their tests and have been put into in service.

The carriages manufactured and renovated by Russian firm Metrowagonmash entered service in late March but had to be withdrawn after a few days due to various defects.
