More Hungarians Rejected At US Borders
The number of Hungarians turned away at US borders has increased considerably in the past week, New York consul general Ferenc Kumin told Kossuth Rádió on Thursday.

He said that in the US the border guard decides whether individuals may enter the country as tourists or are suspected of wanting to take up illegal work.

Obtaining documents necessary for legal work in the US is an “incredibly complicated” procedure, sometimes taking years.

Many people misled by organised criminals set off to America with the belief that they can work in line with regulations overseas and find themselves in a vulnerable position.
