President, PM Express Condolences Over London Terrorist Attacks
Hungary’s president and the prime minister expressed their condolences to the victims of the terrorist attacks in London. In a message to Queen Elizabeth II the president expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the attacks and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

“In these difficult hours, we feel the deepest sympathy for the Brits struck by the terrorist attacks, and we are with you in spirit,” János Áder said. In a message to British Prime Minister Theresa May, the prime minister expressed his shock and condolences.

“The attacks on Great Britain are particularly shocking to all Hungarians in view of the fact that in recent decades many of our compatriots have chosen your beautiful capital as a place to work or study,” Viktor Orbán said. He expressed his deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Orbán added that the Hungarian government and the people of Hungary “remain committed to contributing to the protection of our common security.” Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said the government condemned the attacks, the timing of which, at Pentecost, shows the terrorists seek to destroy Christian culture.
