See What Happened @ Brain Bar Budapest, 1 - 3 June 2017
Brain Bar Budapest is where the challengers and trendsetters, from across the world, give us a glimpse of what’s to come. The festival kicks off where others throw in the towel. Philosophers take on disrupters. Technologists clash with ethicists. All interspersed with music and performance with unique and unpredictable slants on what the future holds.

After the opening press conference, we were treated to lots of mind-expanding experiences. Among other topics, there was the ‘OPERATION NO COMPROMISE’ piece from Sea Shepherd or ‘THE DIET MYTH’ What if modern fitness is a lie?’ from Tim Spector (author of ‘The Diet Myth’).

What was also exciting were the ‘THE TROUBLE WITH BEES - Why our modern life depends on beehives, and how to save them now’ from Hannah Nordhaus (author of 'The Beekeper's Lament') or the ‘THE CALL OF UTOPIA - How false hopes and too much optimism are endangering our future’ from Roger Scruton philosopher and many more wild and not so wacky ideas.

So what does the future hold? Most people don’t want to know. (You remember the song ‘Reality used to be a friend of mine’...?) If given the option to know, would you take it? Also, we do have a natural curiosity to want to know, but does not that take the spirit of adventure out of it? Who knows, but whatever it will be, the Brain Bar Budapest is certainly looking at it and challenging it. And remember, you are long time in your box…
