Szijjártó: Attack On Baile Tusnad Protester ‘Unacceptable’
The assault on a protester during the prime minister’s speech at the Băile Tușnad (Tusnádfürdő) summer university was “totally unacceptable”, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said.

A young woman was blowing a whistle in protest against Prime Minister Viktor Orbán during his speech last Saturday. A photographer grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground. She was then removed from the scene by security personnel.

Answering a question at a press briefing on a different topic, Szijjártó said that the issue did not warrant investigation by the Hungarian authorities.

The assaulter is the husband of an employee of the Hungarian consulate-general in Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda) in Romania and was given occasional assignments as a photographer, the minister said, adding that the man will no longer get assignments from the diplomatic mission.
