Food Safety Authority Orders Removal Of Infected Egg Products
Food items from Germany containing eggs infected by insecticide fipronil have been transported to Hungary as well, according to media reports Tuesday afternoon.

Since the beginning of August Fipronil has been discovered in eggs in 17 EU states.

The Food Safety Authority NÉBIH has ordered their removal from commercial distribution although it is certain that its consumption does not represent any health risk.

The Hungarian company Ázsai Gastro Élelmiszer Kft. had delivered the eggs solely to catering units.
