'Budapest Friday Night Stories', Massolit Books & Café, 15 September
From the organisers: We are honoured to invite you to an event that will take place on September 15, to launch a series of the literary nights titled “Budapest Friday Night Stories”.

These literary readings, held in English and performed by young and/or yet unestablished authors who write in English and live in Budapest, are aimed to build a platform for a diverse group of writers originating from different backgrounds.

We hope that “Budapest Friday Night Stories” will become a place where people can meet, find support and reach their audience. These literary readings can also help to create an artistic network and will also present Budapest as a truly multicultural, inspiring, and artistic environment.

For the premiere night, we have six writers performing – all promising, talented, young men and women who do their best to get published and recognised.

The event and readings will be in English.

In order of appearance:

- Jennifer Walker “Pre-loved Items for Sale”
- Duncan Robertson “Minor Planets”
- Sissy Cui “One” in "Last Tango"
- Raluca Bătănoiu “First Time”
- Rusty Ridgeway “Fake News” and “Free Fudge”
- Ramon Martensen “Pandora's Box”

There will be several music breaks - Daka Que Se Rie will perform famous songs that fit the occasion.
After the readings we will hang out a little, enjoy intelligent conversation and have fun as well.

Join our evening if you:
- are fond of contemporary literature;
- are interested in cultural life of Budapest in its all richness;
- are happy to meet new great people;
- write in English yourself, but are not ready yet to deliver your pieces to the audience;
- search for new promising authors to publish :))
