EU Upholds Wage Differences For Haulers

The Hungarian delegation, which represented the Visegrád countries, argued that drivers of East European hauler companies working in Western Europe are not posted but mobile workers. As a result they must be exempted form posted workers regulation.
This means Eastern European haulers may continue to pay lower wages to their drivers than their Western European counterparts, no matter where in the EU they perform their duties.
This argument was accepted by all member countries thus the drivers may continue their work as before, Napi quoted Takács as saying.
